Over the last two years, I have increasingly used Yelp to help me make dining decisions. And generally speaking, I've benefited from the experience and will be glad to credit them for helping me track down on of the best and cheapest Chinese restaurants in town. They also drew me back to a Jamaican food restaurant that I had written off under prior management. But a recent experience clued me in to one of the dirty little secrets behind Yelp's business model that many people are calling extortion. It literally and figuratively left a bad taste in my mouth and made me question whether Yelp can be trusted.

But there is an easy way to save more at Target and even get some items for free. Use this simple 3 step method to cut your grocery bill.

Recently, LiveCheap examined 9 grocery items that were shrinking. This phenomena used to apply to just a few items in the grocery store, but now it seems that every food manufacturer is jumping on the shrinkage bandwagon.
The Companies down sizing their products will explain that commodity prices such as flour, wheat, and cream have gone up in price and they needed to respond to keep prices sufficiently low. That might be a plausible if dodgy excuse for some items, but how does it explain the latest food item to shrink: bottled water!

With all the talk about healthcare in Washington, few people are willing to discuss one of the factors driving up costs nationwide: Americans are fat. Which is odd because even President Barack Obama noted in his campaign that if we returned to the obesity levels of 1980 it would save Medicare $1 trillion. According to a recently published study in the New England Journal of Medicine, in ten years, half the nation will be obese. I don’t know why anyone is surprised, you can pretty much watch the pedestrian traffic on any corner in America and arrive at the same conclusion. Given that up to 15% of all deaths are linked to being fat, you'd think there would be more of an outcry over it.
