The last back to school sales tax holidays are just about to happen: Texas, Florida, and Connecticut all have theirs in the next two weeks.  In California?  Sorry, you'll just have to shop online to go tax free!  Here's the details:

Texas:  August 20-22, 2010 – Exempts clothing, footwear, backpacks under $100 and school supplies.

Florida: August 13-15, 2010 - Exempts clothing, books, and footwear under $50 and supplies less than $10.

Connecticut: August 15 - 21, 2010 - Exempts clothing and footwear under $300.  Damn!  You can get some nice shoes with that kind of limit.  Take that Florida!
